It’s true! It’s true! Souljunky are currently writing new material for an upcoming release. Although this next recording will most likely be an EP and not a full-length, anticipation still runs high. The group’s sound continues to develop and is emerging more soulfully than ever. Influences of hip-hop and techno are even more evident but they filter through the group’s unique channels in such a way that one can’t help but enjoy it. Souljunky Gain More Radio Play

Great music is bound to find it’s way to great ears, that is exactly what has been happening with Souljunky’s new album “I Found Your Dream”. The group’s song titled “Chinese Tattoo” was recently selected and played by WXRT deejay Richard Milne on his “Local Anesthetic” show. Souljunky’s music is also in regular rotation on Rising Radio as well as Sunset Island Music.

The group’s sound continues to expand and seemingly at once evolve in a more refined manner. The new songs on this album seem much more politically and socially aware but, they never come off preachy or offensive. All of the songs on “I Found Your Dream” share a common theme in which the songs question the status quo and the trappings which, come with living up to other peoples expectations of us.

Go ahead Souljunky, you’ve earned it! Just don’t get too comfortable gents and knowing them they most certainly won’t. The group has just begun gaining a bit of press coverage with the release of their debut record “I Found Your Dream”. The album has been referred to as a “Deeply-Charged, Emotional Explosion” and an “immediate recommendation for music fans fascinated by original, exigent audio work with true musical vision and identity.” Phew that’s a mouth full!

The group has sure appreciated everyone’s patience during the recording process, it took some time to get the debut album finished never the less here it is. The date has finally arrived, “I Found Your Dream” will be available to all by CLICKING HERE on Tuesday December 4th or merely search Souljunky on iTunes if you prefer. You are the reason this album exists and while each member more than likely has their own reasons for wanting to make it, let’s just say it’s you. Yes, it took a bit longer than expected but we think you’ll love what you hear and all the while they never begged for change via Kickstarter. A DIY musical collective in this day and age? Yes indeed!

Eric Chase brings with him years of experience writing and arranging music and will be featured on keyboards & additional vocals. Great things are indeed happening!
